Two Short Poems by Andrew Taegel

Sacrifice

Taking hold of life’s last breath,
claiming what was lost.
One moment to erase our shame,
when life is worth the cost.

Touch

It’s like some foreign mystery
lies just beneath your skin.
And if I only held you once
I’d feel divine within.
